Climate change and crisis management

Climate change impacts our economy, health, well-being, safety, and quality of life. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a U.S. agency, the cost of weather and climate disasters in the United States exceeded $165 billion last year. In Italy, climate-related events have cost the country about 32 billion euros over the past decade. These directly impact almost all economic sectors: tourism, industry, and agriculture. 2023 floods in the Emilia Romagna region alone cost Italy 9 billion euros.

On Monday, January 15th, Patrick Trancu joined an online panel organized by The BCI Italy Chapter to discuss climate change and crisis management.
