When Marcello Arosio, organizer of TEDxBrianza reached out to me last October to invite me to hold a TED Talk I hesitated. Pleased to have been contacted I immediately wondered if my line of business and experience could be of interest to a broader audience. But Marcello, who had been following me on on LinkedIn, was determined to have me speak and pressed for me to accept.
I thought about it for 48 hours and decided to accept his invitation. And now we are only a few days away from the event scheduled on February 15th. My TED Talk was written back in November and has been rehearsed in my mind for months. Every time with a different nuance. We will have to wait Saturday night to find out exactly what will come out of my mouth. I will use 3 slides during the TED Talk which I completed last Saturday.
The theme of TEDxBrianza is “Open to”. I will address it from the perspective of communications: “Open to communications”. But it is unlikely to be as you imagine it. I will talk about singing and the Italian music festival San Remo. But that will only be an excuse to focus the audience’s attention. The rest is likely to surprise you.
