AI and disaster management: A new age of phronesis

For those who may not know, Phronesis is a Greek philosophical term for practical wisdom, or the intellectual virtue of knowing how to act well and what is good in a given situation. Coined by Ancient Greek philosophers, particularly Aristotle, it involves good judgment, excellence of character, and the ability to apply general knowledge to specific contexts to achieve good outcomes. It is contrasted with theoretical wisdom, as it focuses on thoughtful, reflective action in the real world, rather than just abstract knowledge.
